Eligibility:
- be in grades 9-12
- be a legal resident of any U.S. state and an active student of AP Academy or ISP
- have engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred during the 12 months prior to the date of the application
- The service must be unpaid volunteer work that benefits others in the local or global community
- Ineligible service:The following are not eligible: paid work, financial donations, religious instruction or worship, political lobbying, and service for family members. Court-ordered community service is also not eligible.
- Promotional and incentive hours are not accepted:
- e.g.
- “Earn two additional hours if you sign up by this deadline”, “Earn five additional hours if you bring a friend to volunteer”, or “Earn double-the-hours if you work on Sunday.”
- All community service activities and hours must be entered in the Activity Log and must be approved by either director, Kim Downey or Tasha Chang.
