Somewhere in the World it’s 5:00

Unless you live in a county like Spain, then it’s 5:00 all day and all night. Why don’t I live there again? With all this kindness you all are doing take a break this weekend and enjoy this amazing weather, grab yourself a drink and say, “I’m pretty amazing”. We got the kids covered with their bucket list, now let’s get to you….. To me summer means first and foremost one thing: chips, quality Mexican restaurant salsa and most importantly, margaritas. Now, I am quite famous for my homemade margaritas so it was only fitting to praise these new takes on a beloved classic cocktail. Because we care, we thought we would put a few of them in one place for you to browse.

1. Classic Margarita Pops

For those who still want to live like a kid this summer.

2. Pink Lemonade Margarita

For those that want to pretend like that delicious cocktail isn’t really a cocktail (recipe above)

3. Tequila poured over lime sorbet.

When you can’t decide, “Do I want ice-cream or alcohol? Ice-cream or alcohol?”

4. Patron margaritas

For those who yearn for the finer things in life

5. Skinnygirl pomegranate margarita

For those watching their caloric intake. Use 8 oz of Skinnygirl margarita mix and 1 tbsp of pomegranate seeds

6. Guava orange margaritas

For those that want their fruit intake for the day.

Recipe:

• 2 cups orange juice

• 2 cups tequilla

• 1 cup grand marnier

• 3 cups guava puree

• coarse sugar, such as turbinado, for rims

• Combine everything in a large pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled.

7. Mimosa margaritas “Shall we meet for brunch down by the water” kind of margarita for the ladies   8. Blue frozen margarita “Let it goooooo, let it goooooo”. I know, we are all sick of that song. I mean really sick of that song

• 1.5 ounces Don Julio Blanco Tequila
• 1 ounce lime juice
• 1 ounce agave nectar
• 1/2 ounce Blue Curacao

  9. Watermelon ball margarita How we adults make cocktails with watermelon now that we are out of college.

• 1/2 cup pureed watermelon
• 1/2 cup tequila of choice
• 1/2 cup Licor 43
• 1-2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime
• agave nectar or equivalent to sweeten

 

10. The famous “Bulldog Beergarita”

For when you can’t decide beer or margarita? Beer or margarita? Forget it, we will just mix both.
