April is a promise that May is bound to keep. ~Hal Borland
It’s May! It came upon us quickly but we have our May campaigns and challenges ready to go! April was busy with meeting loads of potential Ambassadors and spreading the word about ISP and the amazing things our Ambassadors are doing. We also got some great new volunteers and Board members that have been working diligently to help us get these programs off and running. If you are not on our Shutterfly event list and want to know when we have an event in Orange County (kids and adults), please email us here.
Thanks to all the kids that came out to the Ripple Kids Event last weekend at SOCO. We made bags of toys for the animals at the Irvine Animal Shelter. The kids did such a great job with these cat toys they made.
Our May 2015 Challenge and Campaign are ready!
Our challenge this month for Ambassadors or friends of ISP alike is making “Welcome Home” packs for our Marines returning from deployment at Camp Pendleton. We are meeting this Sunday, May 3rd at 2:00pm at St. Luke’s Church at 13261 Dunkalee Ave, Garden Grove, CA to assemble these packs and for the children to make cards welcoming home our Marines. Please feel free to bring friends and join us. We will also have a group of people helping us make posters for Children’s Hospital for “Happy Chemo” and “Happy Birthday” posters to get a head start on our next event! If you cannot attend but would like to donate some poster boards or die-cut letters please contact ISP here.
Our May Campaign focuses on help for the children in Nepal after their devastating 7.8 earthquake last week. Please click here to see the easy way we are having kids of any age feel empowered to help. Here is what help of any kind can do for the children of Nepal:
Check out our Campaign and Challenge for this month and keep spreading the word Ambassadors and parents. We are stronger in our community in high numbers! Cheers to May!
