Infinite Smile Project Kid Ambassadors, Orange Spirit Nation girls and their Dads, as well as students from AP Academy, got together this past weekend to make Easter baskets for foster kids and children in need across Orange County.
Awesome kids of all ages and backgrounds spent the last few weeks gathering donations, purchasing Easter baskets and gathering Easter candy, toys & toiletry items to make baskets for the Friendly Center Orange County’s Annual Easter Basket Drive. In all, these truly amazing kids and Ambassadors assembled nearly 100 baskets for this year’s drive!
AP Academy, a local tutoring academy in the beautiful Cypress Village area of Irvine, graciously opened their doors to our non-profit and Ambassadors on Sunday afternoon with tables across the main lobby for our assembly line of Easter donations and even got their students involved in the fun. Dads and daughters ranging from age 5 to teenagers from Orange Spirit Nation also collected the goods listed to donate to the baskets and came to help the cause. In the end, we had kids from 3-4 areas of Orange County from ages 5-16 come together with more items than we had baskets to fill and have made a great impact in Orange County this Easter!
The event was so successful that AP Academy is going to further partner with ISP to host small projects for their students each month to do on their own and larger events such as this one approximately every 2-3 months at their location to better our communities and children in Orange County. We will continue to update everyone on upcoming charity work and events for those who wish to continue this amazing work!
A huge thanks to AP Academy and Miss Tasha for the use of their gorgeous location as well as Orange Spirit Nation for helping us make so many Easter baskets for others! Until next time!
