In this month of March, we start to see signs of Spring. A time when new blossoms emerge and the days are longer and brighter. Spring represents letting go of the old and embracing the new, a perfect opportunity to begin again! During this change of the season, it’s a wonderful time to commit, or re-commit, to doing some acts of kindness. We have the sweetest campaign this month to help…or should we say “hop”…you out!

Hippity hoppity Easter’s on its way!! Whether you celebrate Easter religiously or as a way to celebrate the change of season and welcome Spring, almost everyone receives an Easter basket! However, some families struggle with being able to provide an Easter basket to their children or loves ones every year. This could be due to financial reasons, unexpected health complications they are dealing with, or various other factors.
We love helping families celebrate holidays and we love helping organizations who are doing their part to do the same! The Friendly Center is a Southern California “family and community resource center dedicated to improving the lives of children, adults, and seniors by helping them move toward self-sufficiency through immediate assistance and a variety of educational, life skills, and family support programs.” The Friendly Center is doing an Easter basket drive to assist families in need! We encourage our ambassadors to help by providing Easter basket donations and volunteering during their distribution days! If you are not local to Southern California and would still like to participate in this month’s campaign we encourage you to reach out to similar centers near you!
Items Needed for This Month’s Campaign (as stated on The Friendly Center’s website)
Easter basket(s)
Each basket should contain the following and be wrapped in cellophane.
**Baskets are for children up to 6th grade.
One hygiene item (i.e. shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, or body wash)
Chocolate bunny
Easter candy
One gift item (i.e. crayons/coloring book, cars, stuffed animal, jump rope, etc.)
Other fun items welcome of course

How to Do This Month’s Campaign
Purchase your basket(s) and items or use the month of March to do a collection drive! Assemble your basket(s) with the items inside and wrap in cellophane. Drop off your basket(s) at one of the following locations on April 12 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
