Allow me to make it EASY for you this year. I want to be sure my kids KNOW it is more important to give than receive so we will certainly be participating in some of these this year. Come help “Angel” and “Peanut” (my kiddos).
We have a list of places and things you can do to help over the next couple of weeks and soon will have MORE!
Operation Well Wishes can use your help 2 ways
1. You can drop off a sanitary kit for the homeless. They are renting hotel rooms for showers and handing out kits with towels, washcloths, shampoo and soap. You can contact me directly if you with to drop off by this Sunday.
2. Looking to volunteer in person? All ages can come and help volunteer with OWW and do anything from set up to clean up, serving food, distributing clothes, helping in the play area with homeless kids – just about anything. And this event – there is something for all ages to help do since it is a community event. Stay for 1 hour or all day -whatever you want to do!
THE FRIENDLY CENTER OC
The Friendly Center has several events and ways you can help. The following can be seen on their site:
1. Basket Drive: Drop off a Thanksgiving Dinner Basket on 11/22 (list on site)
2. Giving Tuesday: On 11/29 (Tues after Turkey Day) they work to collect over 100 toys in one day.
3. Create your own food or toy drive! Flyers are on the site and your child can hand out their own flyer to friends, family or neighbors asking for a donation by a certain date to give to others. **this one is my favorite since the kids can have A LOT of ownership even if collecting only 1 toy. – maybe send a flyer to family for the Thanksgiving holiday?
4. Adopt a Family – receive a wish list of a family and work together to make their holiday wishes a reality

CAMP PENDLETON
Have a passion for our country and are free on Thursday, 12/15? Irvine 2/11 Marine Foundation needs volunteers to help throw the holiday party the Battalion. Last year they hosted over 500 Marines and their kids with food, entertainment, toys and more. *This is an all-day event but spread the word if you know someone who wants to help
PASTA DRIVE FOR MOTEL KIDSLove the White House in Anaheim? Chef Bruno each year holds a pasta drive and party for the motel kids of OC. If you and your kids want to drop off pasta and/or sauce to help the cause, KFI news radio will be collecting all day on December 1st at the White House.

HOLIDAY GIVING FOR OPERATION WARM WISHES
I always like to help my amazing friend, Tyron. He is
1. collecting toys as well for homeless kids
